Pidhirtsi Castle
Imagine walking through the halls of a castle that has stood for centuries, its walls echoing with the sounds of historical events and cultural significance. That is the experience that the Pidhirtsi Castle, located in the heart of Ukraine and Poland, can offer - but only if it is restored to its former glory
Back then
The castle, erected between 1635 and 1640 by the order of hetman Stanisław Koniecpolski, was once one of the most important fortresses and the most beautiful castles in Poland. Its foundation is inscribed in the modern, five-sided, bastion system of fortifications, and the castle-park complex in Pidhirtsi includes not only the castle itself, but also the church of Sts. Joseph, park and palace gardens, and more.
In XX centuries
Despite its significance, the Castle in Podhorce has suffered greatly over the years. It was robbed twice during World War I, and suffered further damage during the Polish-Soviet War and in 1944. In the aftermath of the Second World War, the Soviet authorities even used the castle as a tuberculosis hospital, and it was seriously damaged by fire in 1956
Its preservation is in our hands
We can change that. Inspired by the success of the restoration of the French medieval castle La Mothe Chandeniers, where over 200 co-owners around the world came together to restore the castle and create a tourist attraction with eco lodges and venues for events, we can do the same for the Ukrainian Verailles - Pidhirtsi Castle.
What can we do
Imagine being a part of history and contributing to the restoration of this incredible landmark. By donating a particular amount, you can become a co-owner and co-lord of the castle, just like those who restored La Mothe Chandeniers. In return, you can receive benefits such as exclusive access to the castle, invitations to events held there, and more
The Pidhirtsi Castle is more than just a building - it is a symbol of the cultural significance and history of Ukraine and Poland. By coming together and contributing to its restoration, we can ensure that it continues to stand for centuries to come
