Olha Petliuk, project organizer

“Art Map Ukraine 2.0 is about the courage to express own experiences during the war.
Record in memory what is happening!
Sincerely and unadorned, in the own words.
We won't forget! We wont forgive!"

Back to life

This project brought together 70 women. With the beginning of the full scale invasion, many lives were lost, and harsh trials for survival began. The hands of the craftsmen fell, because no one could accept the fact that someone needed art.

Despite the loss of loved ones, rocket attacks, regular air alarms, closed windows, and the rattling of gunfire in the streets, these women decided to direct their energy towards creativity. They wanted to capture all of their experiences, fears, resilience, and faith in victory in one big canvas with 4 colors.

Personal Touch

Each plot is a reflection of the internal feelings of each person, associations, winged phrases, and symbolism.

And I couldn't stand aside. The fear of seeing my brother... or father... or mother among the dead in the news haunted me, and I couldn't do anything to help while being so far away - here, in Munich. That's what became the basis of my fragment, which you will be able to see with your own eyes.
