DESIGN
For quite a long time it was a problem for me to create my own design. I just couldn't understand how people find new ideas, how does it work? What does inspiration mean and how should I use it?

It took me years to find an answer that would satisfy me.
​
Now whenever I go to see a new castle, church, ruins or new town I see ideas everywhere. My favourite field is ornaments and geometry, and this is what I'm trying to implement in my creations.
​
But there are at least 30 different sources for me where I get my inspiration - castles interiors, furniture, castle inhabitants, sounds, music, mountains, architecture, haute couture, paintings, high jewelry...
​
After my trip to Sigmaringen Castle in August 2022 I found many ideas for my new collection Hohenzollern which will be presented by Spring 2023.
SELECTION
After more than 10 year of experience in jewelry making, Franelinni tried different materials: from very cheap to quite expensive. Many mistakes and lessons have been made. So after that long time favourite ones have been found
Of course, first of all Franelinni pays attention to the durability of colors - either its beads and seed beads or metal components which may have different reactions to the skin.
Our goal at Franelinni is to have hypoallergenic components that don't give any reaction to the skin.

Considering that we buy only checked and time-proven materials to work, which suits best for the task designer has, whenever she works with VIP custom order or own designer's collection.
​
One of the most favourite materials is pearls. Franelinni uses antique - 30 y.o. mineral from the Chinese sea. It varies from the usual ivory color to grey, black, peach, lila, gold and brown. Such material is being picked carefully by the Franelinni designer, checking every single bead for the perfect look in every jewelry piece being created.
​
But not only pearls are used. Here should be mentioned best quality seed beads, Austrian crystals or Czech crystals, LUX metal findings - rhodium or 18 - 24 kt gold plating, famous Czech glass beads, different kinds of chains, fabric, leather and more.
​
This all creates huge variation for new designs.

CRAFTSMANSHIP
With an engineering mind and making analogies to math and algorithms I created my own approach to learn. During 10 years of jewelry making I've learned and tried dozens of different techniques and stopped at 3 of them - seed beads sewing (weaving), assembling and embroidery.
​
​Seed bead weaving is like jewelry architecture, when having different sizes and shapes of materials I build my own construction.
​
Embroidery is comparable to painting with the same materials and is used mostly for statement jewelry pieces.
​
Assembling is perfect for something less creative, yet elegant.
And all the time I find an opportunity to learn and try something new. To experiment.
Here comes my superpower - every design and every technique is a formula with many variables that I can change, replace and transform.

Even the simplest design has creativity in the approach and idea.
